Ohio's is techinically 5.5%, from what I've heard, but everyone just says 6% to make it clear I guess.

I believe that we are at a 7.5% tax. I am not sure about the rest of the state and from what I hear, wasted mind said otherwise...

Well Texas has no income tax (and most likely never will)
Now here is how Texas Sales tax works
THe state sales tax is 6.25%
The county can add 1% sales tax as long as there is not a metro dirstic (bus system) in the county putting a 1% sales tax in there distric.
The cities can also add a 1% sales tax 2. that is why most people in Texas say we have a 8.25% sales tax.

Monroe County has 7.75 (I think its .75..), and Wayne County has 5.?... The thing is... There is nothing in Wayne County (They have been in a State Of Emergency for 7+ days, if that tells you anything...)

Yes, but with inflation and freight markup everything is still expensive over there
(I lived there for almost 4 years).

Alaska has no state income tax, and no sales tax. They also cut every single resident a check in November for 1-2k$ (it varies).

Ah, but you really do have to live there for a year to get the money. They check.
