Are there any programs that can register an AIM screen name with ascii characters?

i think you can do it while making a MAC screen name..... but im not 100% positive on that...... havent tried it out myself.

i know you can have a lot of certain things you cant in a regular AIM sn though.

From what I have read the MAC SNs can contain anything you want, however I don't think your going to get arrested for useing a § in your SN.

nope, the only charactors you can use in an @mac name is "." and "_" and + the @ in the @ mac.com

While we're on the subject of things you can't do in AIM, what's up with the 3 char. names? I'm too "n00b"-ish to know about them, whats the deal?

Most of the screen names were taken up by those evil registration bots....beause AOL/AIM doesn't have any sort of anti-registering bot features on the signup process, such as entering in the 4 letter verification from an image.. a bot cant read images.
