Block "Popups"
Okay I am sure you have all seen ads on internet sites, and that's fine because I just block them (Some sites keep 4 "ads" at least open each time you browse to another page).
Well I simply use my pop up killer and these intense sites (bad ones include billboard.com and coasterbuzz.com). The problem is this new ad, which uses "javascript?. The pop up killer (or mine at least) can't do a darn thing about it, and they are the most annoying in the world (see www.aimfilez.com and www.coasterbuzz.com).
Is there any simple way to kill it... Even if it would be making a small program that does not allow a certain line of javascript to run... (I don't want to turn javascript off if at all possible).

Um, if those two pages were supposed to give pop-up ads I didn't get any....
I use Adshield. http://www.adshield.org
I highly recommend it. However, it only works in IE. It also blocks any inframe ads and Flash 5/MX ads. But not Flash 6 . However, with some things, if your window closes for no reason at all (usually when playing a flash game, or something of that nature) you may want to disable it by clicking on it's icon in the Standard Buttons IE bar and it opens its controls in the Explorer bar. You just have to switch off its features temporarily and that causes Flash to work perfectly. Just don't forget to turn it back on when you are finished.

Yeah, I'm pissed!!!!! The new version seems to work just as well, though I'm not paying for it. The trial version supposedly only lets you block 10 custom ads. But so far I haven't gotten any pop-ups or ads that drive me nuts. Plus it also can block web bugs. Well, if I hit the "limit" I'm going back to version 2, since the new version doesn't do that much more.PhaseDMA wrote:Grrr... It went to a fee based...
