everytime I go to search for someone, it ALWAYS says we cant find someone with the interest you entered. thats ridiculous, thats like saying im the only one using AIM at that particular time...anyone know how I can get some actual results?

I was wondering about that when found that out myself. Couple of years ago, i was able to meet new people over AIM like that. I think AOL disabled that feature because of massive spams. If you haven't noticed, when AIM server is done sometimes, the interest groups aren't protected, so i get spammed myself.

If you want, you can go the old fasion way, find people by their nickname, first, or last names. Appearnly i think by city/state is blocked too... because of spamming reason. So, yeah, its almost useless or unreasonable to find someone over AIM.

Yea, I got that same problem but sometimes it works (more time it doesnt than it does).
