For Windows XP (and presumably 2000), you can copy/paste the following into a text file. Be sure to replace 'ScreenName1' (etc) with your screename!.
- Disable AIM Today Window (using *.reg file)
Then, rename the text file with a '.reg' extension. Double-click the reg file (click [yes]) and the AIM Today window will now be disabled for the screen names you specified! Keep this .reg file around if you think you might need it in the future.Code: Select all
Windows Registry Editor Version 5.00 [HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\America Online\AOL Instant Messenger (TM)\CurrentVersion\Users\ScreenName1\Misc] "ShowAimTodayWindow"=dword:00000000 [HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\America Online\AOL Instant Messenger (TM)\CurrentVersion\Users\ScreenName2\Misc] "ShowAimTodayWindow"=dword:00000000 [HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\America Online\AOL Instant Messenger (TM)\CurrentVersion\Users\ScreenName3\Misc] "ShowAimTodayWindow"=dword:00000000
Hopefully that helps!

There's an easier way to do this and you don't have to worry about multiple screen names because it's taken care of at the source. I figured it out and posted here-
