problems with aim
1. whenever i try to direct connect with some people, they accept and it doesnt even direct connect. say i click on add image, and it connects, then nothing happens, then i click on add image again and it direct connects again. in a nutshell, it isnt direct connecting.
2. whenever i try to send or recieve files and try to "talk with the mic," i get an error "busted snac payload" and says something about an invitation containing too many characters.
i dunno whats happening and if you do thank u very much. btw, im runnin a netgear router and running through a cable modem.

Its because your running behind a router. That is the problem.
Im behind a Linksys router and I have similar problems. Anyone that also has a router you can't connect to. It's because AIM is set into "Passive" mode. Although it doesnt tell you this...and there's no way to change it except for connecting straight to the cable box and not using a router.

um.. wasted you retard. a router wont do what hes saying.
its probably not a virus. its probably someones version of aim messed up. try reinstalling your aim or tell your friend to do the same. and try using the same version both of you, it might do something (doubt but hey, wtvr, im not an idiot like wasted)

if it was the router it would say you COULNT direct connect.nothing happens
ive never seen that b4, your computer is gaybusted snac payload
routers dont do this... they dont insert crap into packets, unless you have a gay router, which i still doubt will cause this.invitation containing too many characters
so you have a router? most people do. everyone should quit blaming it on the damned open ports, quit pretending you know something (im sorry plasma, but you did fall into this category, you stupid n00b)
