Whereas I was just the opposite (kind of). I upgraded immediately and didn't use AIM+ cuz I thought it didnt work but then I dled it after I heard that it worked w/ 5.x w/ a few minor problems that could be worked around. What I havent figured out though is where the AIM+ preference menu went.Big-O Mark wrote:I've been keeping up with the latest AIM releases for a few months now. I figured you would stick w/ 4.8.x for AIM+ to be fully functional..

The + menu doesn't appear when running AIM+ 2.2.1 with AIM 5.x because the space where it occupied in the 4.x releases of AIM is now occupied by AIM itself. You can still access the AIM+ preference menu from the AIM+ dropdown menu on IM/Chat windows.Dice599 wrote:Whereas I was just the opposite (kind of). The one place I hadn't looked...and to think I use that menu a lot b/c that's usually how I clone AIM too. I figured it'd be in the AIM preferences menu but obviously it's not.

I think you meant to each his own, but I certainly would not pay that much.aclauser wrote:Would you pay that much if they openly decided to release it for $45? j/w
Each to his own. I would think some where around $19.95 (um $20) for it max and most more likely $10 (at least thats what I would pay in a heart beat).
I would right now, today, pay $45 for it privately, if it had 5.x compatibility and tabbed IM windows. If they made it software that anyone could readily pay for, I'd go $20 at most.

I would pay $10 for it if it had:
-Tabed IMs
-AIM 5+ compatibility
-Fully customizable alerts (personalized images, sounds, and text-to-speech is a plus)
-Encrypted histories (I can do this myself, but it would be so much better if it were built in)
-Password locked away messages
-And there MUST be a way to change that hideous yellow selection color!
