Scrennames don't need to be translated. That's your unique name on the internet. Translating a screenname would defeat the purpose.

To get (somewhat) back on topic...

Regarding the languages for all the different countries...Latin is the best language to learn. I mean...all those Greek people sometimes still have to learn it and those translators that are out there will never need to be updated because there won't ever be any "slang" terms.

Yeah, but unless you're going into a math or physical science area, why learn a dead language?

My theory for why Australia, Canada, and the UK are behind many of the other countries is that they all have alternative AIM versions that they can use and understand. Australia, Canada, and the UK can all use the American version of AIM, and it will be in English. French Canadians can use the French version of AIM, and it will obviously be in French.

It seems like the more pertinent international versions of AIM are translated first, and the ones that aren't as important are left for later.

don't you thinik people should be fluent in english before they start learning other languages, it would be cool if they made a latin one, they could use it in latin classes. i should download the spanish one see if i can understand one word out of 10

Looks like AOL is finally catching up with at least the UK version of AIM. They have AIM5.1 in Beta testing right now. :)

what would happen if we found out that AOL cared more about another country and had them on something like AIM 9.0 and were just giving us these stats to make us laugh, then i don't even want to know what would happen
