Failed trying to clone AIM (copy file failed)

Post by dewin »

I love AIM+ so far, but I'd love it even more if the cloning feature actually worked for me...

Every time I try to use clone, it gets about halfway through before giving me the following error message:

Failed trying to clone AIM (copy file failed).
This usually means you are out of free disk space on the drive where AIM is installed.

The drive AIM is installed on has 1.6 gig free. Every other partition has 2 gig+ free.

Technical specifics: Windows XP, AIM 4.8.2790, AIM+ 2.2.1 (build 65), 256 MB RAM.

The problem still persists after complete removal and reinstallation of AIM+.

Any ideas?

try uninstalling aim, and install it to a different partiition like not C:\programs\aim95 instead, try x:\pathto\aim95 where x is the drive letter other than "C"
