Buddy List won't stay on top!!!

When I start Aim, my buddy list won't stay on top! Help!!!
Operating System = Windows XP
Version of AIM = 5.0
Specific Steps = Turn on computer. Aim starts up when loaded. type in user and pass. Connects. Then shows buddy list then buddy list disappears. tried right clicking on icon in system tray to show buddy list, but it appears and disappears again. Reinstalled Aim+ and AIM 5.0 (I use AIM+ icon to load AIM when i close AIM, or when i clone), but again, same thing happened. When i clone, the buddy list on the other user stays up. But the first buddy list isn't there.
