AIM 5.0 AimRes.dll with ResHacker

i have been swaping some images for aim, but i want to be able to change the GIFDATA ones, i can save the gifs, but i cant replace the gifs. any reason why? do i have to replace it with something other than a gif? And im not able to replace Bitmap 273, which is the backgorund of the buddy list. any reason why? did AOL make it so u cant edit this anymore? am i doing something wrong? or... :/
