I think he means, his screen doesn't have 32-bit icons.

my friend had XP and the 32-bit icons dont work for him!

What version of AIM are you using? AIM+ doesn't add 32 bit icons to any version of AIM, but the graphics in AIM 5.x have been enhanced.
