.DLL file?

ok, for the past few weeks something's been messed up with my history viewer. it says "a required .DLL file, MFC42.DLL, was not found" and then says to re-install AIM+. i have reinstalled several times, yet no avail. something please help meeeeee

Q. When I try to start the AIM+ History Viewer, I get an error! Something about 'MFC42.DLL'..
A. You need to update some of your system components. You can download an update utility from Microsoft
here.
