I've been using this for a couple months now, and I really recommend it.

I've never before been even close to satisfied by an anti-SPAM product. This one is just so easy, automatic, and effective, I've been blown away.

It doesn't catch every single piece of SPAM, but it does bring my daily load from about 50 to 2. It just moves them to a SPAM folder, so you can still check them, but I've stopped even checking that. The only mails it has flagged as SPAM which weren't were newsletters, and since I unblocked my newsletters, it's been flawless.

And I can't imagine how it coudl be easier -- it adds exactly two buttons to outlook: Block & Unblock. Block is for removing SPAM that it missed, and Unblock is for whitelisting newsletters that it flagged as SPAM.

Let me know what you think, if anybody gets around to trying it out for a while..

Hmm..I use Outlook for managing my life (and my email too), so this may not be a bad idea to try. I'll letcha know how it works for me.

What I've actually been doing now to reduce my spam is by clicking those "unsubscribe" links at the bottom of most of them, and surprisingly, my spam load as gone down dramatically. That's always worth a shot too if you hate spam.

I tried SpamNet but was tired of having to make whitelists to stop my Opt-In mail from getting labeled as Spam. I switched to Mailwasher and have loved it. The program requires a little bit more human intervention, but I have pretty much stopped getting Spam (only a couple a month now).

But I've met a lot of other people that have liked SpamNet as well. I believe they are both quality products.

I just got the MailWasher app. It's really nice I like it, especially that bounce feature. Making it fake a 'no address found' back to the originator.

Mailwasher is interesting -- I've never seen it before. The fake-bounce-back feature is intruiging, but the killer for me is that I just can't use a program that I have to run separately from my mail client. If it was server-side, or a proxy, that'd be fine, but I keep Outlook open all the time.. and that human intervention you mentioned is just not for me.

But only a couple spams per month does sound impressive, too.

I mostly just use hotmails junk mail filter. i catches most of the spam mail for me and I just block the stuff it doesnt. right now i get on anverage 1-2 junk mails a week. the folder gets bout 4 a day. Have any of you notices most of the junk mail is porn sites

I signed up for an account on hotmail and within an hour it was 100% full of junk messages (mostly teh p0rn).

I have a hotmail acct that has a bunch of junk in it and one that doesn't...the one that doesn't is the one that i chose the 'don't add me to the whitepages' feature. My guess is that you guys lucked out and got yourselfs some junk...

yeah most of the junk mail i did get was porn. Now every now and then I get some more porn that gets by the filter but that was cut down by my block list which i must say has become very long and it mostly I block the sourse so it not just one email acount it all of them that end wiht @----.--- it great. now if only getting back sn was this easy I would be very happy

I have my Outlook not set to automatically check my email and have Mailwasher set to automatically check it instead. Then I can put check marks next to those messages that are obviously spam (based on the subject) and then I delete, bounce, and blacklist them at the same time. Then I click the Send/Receive button on Outlook to bring in the messages I want.

Mailwasher also allows you to check your Hotmail accounts and bounce messages. My Spam there is starting to decrease after a couple months.

I saw that, but I use Eudora. I'm guessing it doesn't support Eudora, though.

I get at least 20 emails that go straight to my Junk Inbox, mostly all porn. Then I get at least 30 that go straight to my regular Inbox ...which are mostly insurance scams, and viagra, free laptop stuff. It really pisses me off that Hotmail doesnt have some better SPAM filtering. I already have over 200 domain names in my block list (not email addys, just domain names)...and yet I still get over 50 junk emails a day.
