Connection to Alerts Server error message

Post by Knight »

I've been receiving the following error message for the past 4 or 5 days. Anyone else getting it? Got any work arounds?
Sorry, you don't have a connection to the Alerts Server. Completely exit AIM and sign on again to receive your Mail and AOL Alerts. If the problem persists, try again later. All other AIM services will continue to function properly.

Sounds like theres a problem w/ the server. Nothing you can really do from your end.

I only have the one, and I'm too lazy to make another one up.

The message comes to me every now and again.. most after I've been on for long periods of time, and idle or away.

I've seen that one before, although it's usually only after my computer's gone into suspend mode, or I've been on for a week or so.

I get the same message...sigh. Sounds like a problem with AIM, doubt it would be AIM+'s end of things. God forbid AOL get their servers to work correctly. Why they would have an e-mail alert feature in it, if it's not going to work properly is beyond me. I never had this problem until I started using that feature.
