Gaming Peripherals
What gaming peripherals do all you folks out there use, need, or swear by?
My PC gaming setup starts with my wonderful Max Payne mousepad. LOL, I love Max Payne, and the game happened to have come with the mousepad. Resting on my mousepad is my M$ Intellimouse Optical.
My joystick is and old relic--an M$ SideWinder 3D-Pro. I refuse to throw it out because it still works perfectly, and is the sturdiest joystick I have ever used.
My gamepad is a Logitech Wingman RumblePad. It's got two analog thumbsticks, six action buttons, two shoulder buttons, and a sliding throttle.
Next on my list is my soundsystem: an SBLive! Platinum 5.1 coupled with a set of Klipsch ProMedia 2.1 speakers. 200watts of pure magic. Best sounding speakers I've ever heard. I plan on upgrading my soundcard eventually to an SBLive! Audigy 2 Platinum.
Lastly, the item I swear I could never live without: my Belkin n50 Nostromo Speedpad. This thing is far superior to using any keyboard when playing FPS games. 10 buttons, a throttle switch, an eight-way digital pad, and three shift functions..plus fully programable..makes for easily the best device I've ever used. It was cheap as hell too--I got it for $15 ( ) on buy.com. I strongly recommend it to anybody who plays ANY FPS game.
That's about it for me. How about you guys?

What about the Steel Battalion game for Xbox that comes with its own set of controllers? The game, which my ex bought, cost about $200.
This is just the main control system, made up of three connectable sections.
This is just the footpedles used in the game.
I've seen this game in action and the controls are just.. mind boggling...

That is about the coolest thing I have seen since...the Gravis Phoenix! It looks like it's got seperate controls for pilot and gunner. Sweet!maeg26 wrote:What about the Steel Battalion game for Xbox that comes with its own set of controllers? The game, which my ex bought, cost about $200.

I can direct you to the site where a friend did an article about it, and where I got the pics from. Goto: http://www.penismightier.com/main.php?s ... poster=all You'll have to go partway down the page to get to the article though.
Right now, the game and the controls are sold together, which explains the $200 price tag.
