changing the color of buddies in the buddy list

Yes. As a matter of fact I would write a program to do it, but I only have VB 6 learning edition. I have VB 4 professional, but it's not capable of doing it efficiently. All it requires is:exstasy wrote:is this possible?
1. Hook the control that displays the users on the buddy list (I don't know its cass name off the top of my head).
2. Use one of the drawing APIs or BitBlt to change the color of the balck pixels on the buddy list to the color(s)/image of your choice whenever your hooking procedure intercepts a WM_PAINT message.
It's actually a lot simpler than it sounds. In VB the code would be less than 1 kb.

i would probebly contact synthesize, hes great with vb. i saw somewhere on his site to mail him and give him suggestions for progs. he helped me with allot of stuff http://sybvb.com <sorry if its considered spam

If anyone who has VB6 would could post a finished product of some sort, then it would be something a normal user could understand.
