Floating Users ICQ Style

one thing that i love, that i've only found in ICQ, is the ability to have floating users. in ICQ, you can drag a name from your list, and it creates an always-on-top button you can place anywhere (such as, up in the title bar area) ...

I really liked floating users in ICQ, too.

Right now, I could make floating users that you could double click to send a message to, fairly easily. But what would still be tricky, at this point,is creating a floating user that shows status (online, offline, idle, away, etc).

whatever you can do for the ICQ-style floating for now, would be great... even if it doesnt signal the user's status (away, etc)

im sorry, what is float? i see it in java-chatrroms never understood it

That would be AWESOME!!! But maybe have it only show if the user is online/not away. If that is possible.
