I found out about that "world gone mad" quote. It seemed that Chris Rock said it, and here's the full text:

I had to search for this thread but I have a new away message that I think is great. But because of a promise to my friend Jessi I can not use (that and she got really pissed when I did) but I still would like to share it with you all
