context menus/away message issue

I'm not sure if this is a problem with AIM+ or basic AIM, but I never noticed it before I started using AIM+:

When the "Away Message Composition" screen is up, but I haven't set myself as away yet, the ESC key no longer closes active IM windows. Also, when I have an away message up, I can't get a context menu when I right-click on the away message text. I can highlight fine, but nothing happens when I right-click.

I experience both of the conditions you described using only AIM. (win2k, AIM 4.8.2646, AIM+ [nothing]).

I therefore move that these have nothing to do with AIM+.

Anybody else want to try it out?

D'oh, I must be misremembering... I should have checked that out more before I bothered you. Sorry
