but ive been looking for something to play across a lan (my home computers) that isnt quite the total gamers package......

does anybody know of any small/semi-small multiplayer games for something to use for this? Like that me and my sis could play on the computers..... im not talkin bout Quake or anything like that..... i just m,ean time-waster games......

i cant really seem to find anything worth downloading thats fun.

Actually I do think downloading anything other then music (and stuff that is already on the internet for free) is wrong.

I don't think that was the right question though.

Well, I used to play Strategic Conquest and Descent on my old AppleTalk network... Those are some quality LAN games.

hmmm...AppleTalk. Does anyone actually use that protocol anymore? Apple computers will run on IP networks now, won't they?

When I had a couple Macs setup, we played really fun battle/conquest games. I can't remember what they were, but they were great games (sort of like risk...but not with the dice, cards, etc. that Risk has.)

I remeber play War craft 2 over a lan line during my freshman year at high school in computer club (the club died the next year when the teacher left but still)

best fun lil lan game = Tank Racer... dont let the name fool you or throw u off, its very fun and very addicting.

I would have to say Worms or Worms 2. Not any of the newer ones such as Worms: World Party or Worms: Armageddon. (those newer ones were not as fun as the originals.)

There's also another fun game but you cant really play on a LAN, it was a secret game built into some game for the Sega Saturn. I think it was called Tank Wars or something similar to that name. NOW that was addicting!

lol.... the worms thing i JUST downloaded a few hours before you posted.... i know i loved that kinda game......

the whole game concept i was first introduced to back in the days of Win 3.1 as a small tank firing game with the same concept.... from then on i knew i loved it

lol.... ive been playin Worms World Party all night (notice my post time on this, lol)

but since you just said one of the other two are better i guess ill have to check into those.

by the way, has anyone heard of Dinkybomb?

I have worms world party. it a great game, I bought after I play the rom for the old nientdo. I love that game and it is a great game to kill time in during class
