You can always clear the history by going to the directory where you installed AIM+, then to the history directory. You can delete any conversation from any day ... although I suppose it would be much easier for everyone involved if you could do it directory from AOL :).

I agree with the idea of being able to clear the history. It would also be nice to have a cap on the history size, so it would begin to trim oldest messages as the cap was reached ... Or a by-day cap, so you could say to keep histories for X number of days.

Also, add my vote to being able to send different Away msgs to different individuals. That would be VERY handy.

I hadn't thought of a cap for message history size, but I'll consider it. It's a good idea..

Expect more history manipulation stuff soon, like deleting, for sure.

History manipulation will be added in a future version of AIM+.

Going into explorer allows you to delete whatever very exact parts of your history. You can delete all chats with one buddy, chats from specific days with one buddy, or all of your history altogether.

The .bat file is a quick way to clear out your entire history. However, you won't be able to pick out anything to save unless you go to your AIM+ directory first. If you're in the AIM+ directory to save things, it would probably be easier just to delete what you want from there rather than backup stuff first and then go clear out the history with the .bat file.

Yes, the ability to keep the history to a certian size or number of days is critical.

For the meantime I will try the .bat file approach posted.
