Connection refused by proxy

Post by MikeZed »

I recently uninstalled GoodAIM and I restarted and when I tried to sign on, it said "Connection refused by proxy". WTF is up? How can I fix this?

Everyone on the Big-O Software board are fucking dumbasses except MikeZed because he actually knows common sense.

Axilla is the gayest person on this board.

To use GoodAIM, your proxy settings should be

Server: localhost
Port: 11080
Protocol: SOCKS4

otherwise it won't work. Also, make sure GoodAIM is running when you start AIM. (Look for a bullseye icon in the system tray)

GoodAIM sets your AIM to go through a proxy server so it can do the features that it has. To change this, go into your AIM setup, click Sign On/Off, Click Connection, and uncheck Proxy. You are good to go!
