For those of you who preordered Zelda: Wind Waker, you got the prerelease game with OoT and Master Quest on it. Remember that music that plays on the menu where you can select between either OoT, Master Quest, or the movies? Well, if you listened to it carefully, you'd realize that it's a fully orchestrated (via MIDI :P) version of the orginal NES Zelda's Overworld theme, with a closing of LttP's title theme.

When I first heard that, my exact thoughts were "I must have this." So that's what I did. I took my GameCube, plugged it into the Line-in/2 jacks on my Live!Drive, loaded up Cool Edit Pro, and, after a few takes to prevent the recording from clipping (a BAD thing), I recorded the boot sequence of the GameCube, and the menu music from the Master Quest disc.

AND....it's now available for download on my webserver:

Hmm....I'll have to play the game again to remember how it went..

I also have the Prologue music from Wind Waker recorded. I've just been futzing around with it trying to make the two channels more diverse. I'll upload that and a newer version of the Master Quest music with a wider stereo field as soon as I get the chance.

Hmm...it sound very familiar. It's a classical peice I know that much.

<checks with KaZaA>

Yea, I was right. Gustav Holst.

I think I'd rather get this on Amazon--I have a thing about downloading MP3s of classical pieces. I love Classical too much to even consider listening to an MP3.

(responds to REALLY old post and hopes for an answer)
have any of you guys beaten the game yet because at the end (during the credits) there is a 3-5 minute remix of the song that plays during the title page, I was wondering if anyone, mainly DADINK13, has a copy of it in mp3

Of course I beat it. The only Zelda games I haven't beaten are both Oracles games on GBC. I didn't care for the song at the end of Wind Waker--unless you mean the music from the credits of Ocarina of Time that is. I haven't heard that in a while, so I don't remember it very well.
