Warning Level

Post by sweeney »

Well I managed to get warned up to 100% (don't ask how). So I signed off and then 2 hours later, I try to sign back on, and I get a message saying the Rate Limit occured at sign on. This doesn't seem right...I waited two hours before I tried to get back on. Also, everytime I do get on, my warning level never goes down. Could someone be warning me while I'm not on?

i doubt that your warning level has stayed at 100..... unless of course you managed to tick off an internal..... but yeah...

if you want to see your warning level, just sign on your SN with either AIM Express, or AIM Quick buddy..... you can use those when your warning level is too high to sign onto regular AIM

you should be able to sign on to regular aim with a 100% warning level just you rate limit will suck because each message you send put drain that eniter bar in the corner of AIM telling you how much iming power you have.

As someone who has been warned to 100 I learnt the hard way that you can't log on for about 24 hours after you were warned. At least this is what happened in my case.

I ran the test (Using multiple clone screen names I might add). I got a rate limit signing in. I think that is because when you sign in to AIM you screen name sends in several messages to AIM network and since you rate limit well sucks. and 1 message drains you eniter bar. I think the time I was getting around it my DSL had a really bad ping rate running at the time so it was giving it time to increase my rate limit. (that or it was my computer both are pretty likely).
