Post by blahman »

I tried using this patch with the newest version of aim 5.2.3277 and it does not work, says

"wrong version of aimres.dll file"

anyone know what the problem could be?

wow, sorry im late...you need to have a completely UNALTERED AimRes.dll otherwise it sees it as being the "wrong version"

Just use the Aim patcher. It removes ads too.

I thought that other users, mainly guests that surfed in from a search engine, could benefit from this. There is no post or infomation in this thread regarding 5.2.3292 compatibility with stealth's patch so your post is unwarranted ;). I usually try and plan ahead so I don't feel stupid after making a post :)

Hmm... the patch removed the ad pictures for me, but I still hear sound every now and then from the ads... It's the sound I hate! I can stand the banners but sound is the worst! By the way, I'm using AIM 5.2.3292.
