lol good thinkin. he used a VIA cpu. i saw a vid where the via cpu could run q3 (or sum type of 3d game) without a heatsinc for like, basically ever

Well, I'm building an NES-PC, and you need an mini-ITX style motherboard for the thing. The one I got was the 800MHz VIA Epia E3. VIA is pretty much the only manufacturer that makes mini-ITX motherboards. And yes, they're tiny. 170mm by 170mm--and it's got just as many features as a standard ATX-style motherboard.



Neat huh?



Oh yea, those VIA chips do run really cool. I could've gotten a fanless version of the board I bought, but considering it's going into a case with very little ventilation, I'd rather have a fan on it. And yea, they can run games like Quake III with no problems with overheating.
