Just double checking my notes.

I'm getting this old computer (Pentium 1). The Harddrive inside of it is squat, but everything else is fine. I should be able to strip it of it's current Harddrive and replace with a bigger 40 gigabyte one. Then I should be able to install Mandrake, right? Is there anything I'm forgeting?

make sure your BIOS supports a large harddrive like that. whats the clock on your processor? i think all it will support is a max of 8 GB, but i may be wrong.

it will take some time installing linux on that, prolly a few hrs

btw, u wont b able 2 run the latest version of mandrake. ull have 2 go back 2 versions or so

I didn't get it yet, so I'm not sure of the specs. If it only does support an 8 gig HD, do you know where I can find one. When I was searching some of the lowest I could find were like 30 Gigs.

Or just goto one of those small 'mom and pop computer shops' .. they'll most likely have what you're looking for.
Either that or a Used computer part store.
