Soul Caliber 2

Post by DADINK13 »

So, has anybody picked up Soul Caliber 2 yet for any of the consoles? If so, which console, and how do you like it?

I'm thinking of buying it for GCN because Link is in it--and because I heard great things about the first Soul Caliber on Dreamcast.

Here's what I know about Soul Caliber 2. The Xbox and GameCube versions are superior to the PS2 version, although the PS2 does have the best controller of the three. Soul Caliber 2 isn't a radical departure from the original, which is good and bad. The game doesn't take advantage of all the leaps forward in game design made in the past few years, but at the same time sticks to the same formula that worked while adding some new elements.

All in all, it's a fun fighting game worth picking up. Just don't expect to be blown away.
