No...I setup my best friend's sister last summer with it and she still uses AIM+ and 4.8.2790

you used not to be the only one. But I had to upgraud partly because my brother kept upgrauding it and file conection seems to work better for me though 5.x

Well...I used too. Then I started looking for other things. I couldn't deal with the fact that 4.8 would drain memory over time. Not good for me, considering what I do with my computer.

i use to TO THIS DAY. AIM+ kix ass, and im using it w/ aim 5.2.3292 (did i get that right? i didnt cheat!)

5.x still drain mem. A few days ago it was at 30 megs of mem was taken up my aim exe

I'm still using AIM+ and AIM 4.8.2790. It does everything I need it to do. No need to upgrade.

well when my hit 30 megs exiting did nto help out much. it just increase it some. right now mines is running at 8 megs and it has been up and running for I am going ot say 30 hours since I hibornated my computer yetstady with it running and then boot back up. AIM did not miss a beat never even brought up the trying to reconnect. (just heard doors slam and open). It goes up and down. SOme time the mem leak is there some time it is not. RUnnign a clone normal cause it to go up sicne for some off reason that ram is not fread back up after you exet (at least on dead AIM I have not look at it yet with AIM+

I would still use 4.8.2790 with AIM+ it if I wasn't using Linux.

Or maybe if AOL would actually upgrade their Linux version of the official AIM from version 1.5.x or whatever.. I might even just use 4.8.2790 without AIM+.. but It has so little features.. so crappy.

So I use GAIM.. it has everything AIM and AIM+ has, and then some.
