As reported in USA Today this service has been sued by one of the record labels. MIT is safe however since they went for the provider instead of MIT directly.

MIT has decided to discontinue this service until the law suit is settled.

so basicly they the RIAA is just a bunch of greedy basterd and will sue anyone that they can. I willing to bet they would sue radio complan next prouble start with the smalls ones say there are providing hte music for free to everyone

... As far as I know the RIAA has nothing directly to do with this...

Of course that's high unlikely considering the "Quality" of radio music. It has less than a 128 bitrate when transfered to computers (Which is supposed CD (Digital) quality).

And then the obvious fact that radio has "paid-for" commercials, which most likely goes straight to the RIAA and others to pay for the play of music.
