AT&T recently violated the "do-not call list", and the FCC has decided to step in (Not to be confused with the FTC).
The FCC has proposed a $10,000 fine per violation. At almost 30 people this is quite a slap on the wrist (Although only a slap, for a company that size).
AT&T has 30 days to respond to the fines.
A spokesperson commented on how this should make it odvious that the FCC is serious about the issue.
... So who gets the money? The FCC? The people.... If the people get it do they get it all?
