can't connect

Post by Jrrtt37 »

whether this topic was out already or not, idk, but. i have:

New verison of AIM. and i can't connect, i don't have any firewalls running for it, or even any that would stop a connection, the users that i try to connect with have the new verison of AIM also and there firewalls are down. Now we both have the settings set for INcoming and Outgoing and proxy server, so we should be able to connect, any ideas? or am i shit out of luck?

You mean direct connect? Do you have a router?

you might not be able to direct connect due to the proxy you're using. try connecting without using a proxy.

Does the other person have a router? Is your ISP a piece of junk?

let me explain in a lil more detail, seeing that i didn't the first time, the aim on the computer can direct connect, the computer is running on dail-up and it is solo, obviously.

Also you should make sure your IQ exceeds 3 points

also if i wanted the insult i'd ask for it. I came for help, not to get insulted, or is that all your good for?

phase- i'm running it with Earthlink, and so far so good, seeing that stargate had to go bankrupt.
