The Future of Big-O Software and AIM+
I am very disappointed to hear that there will be no release of AIM+ for AIM 5.2 and up.
I love the program and used it all the time until I recently started to have problems with it. Is there anyway the AIM + 3 version could be released so not to disappoint all that have and were waiting for it?
If you can't do that, maybe you could suggest where something similar to AIM+ could be found.
Good Luck to you guys! Sorry to hear you've given up a sort of hobby for the real world. You probably could have actually done very well and gone far if you continued. Everything in business and life is tough but you can't just give up every time you reach a bump in the road.

it all depends on what features you are looking for
mark and ryan did do very well...but they were not getting paid...aim+ is free...so it was never really a business for them...sure they could please people...but without being paid it is hard to devote as much time as is needed...i'm sure 'the incident' was only a contributing factor and not the sole reason development was halted...You probably could have actually done very well and gone far if you continued. I have been a supporter of you in the past, but it seems everytime someone brings up DeadAIM, more specifically that it costs, you have to point out that it's security measures can be bypassed (aka keygens, whatever), but you won't disclose how you did it or where you got the cracked copy (sometimes you do say you'll tell via IM). I don't care what your feelings are about how JDennis runs their business, it isn't cool to be constantly pointing it out. All you are doing is aiding in the theft of a product.
Also helping someone circumvent digital security, in some circles, is considered a violation of the DMCA (Digital Millenium Copyright Act of 1998). Granted noone is going to fork out the funds to chase down people helping to crack products such as DeadAIM, but that doesn't make it right. I don't agree with the law, but I abide by them. If I was to hold the key to circumventing something, I'm not going to blab about it to a bunch of strangers. That knowledge is for you and your closest friends.
