the same type of thing is used in the movie Labarynth... where the female has to decide which door to go through to keep going after her baby brother. One door is telling the truth. The other lies.

Wasn't something like that in one of the Are You Afraid Of the Dark episodes?

this little 'riddle' has been used countless times in many movies, books, writings, etc etc etc. Its one of the better ones that can stand the ropes and keep itself going.

lol... i like timelesses answer... 'there is no statement' :P now either thats laziness, or some type of matrix style conclusion... who knows ;)

heres my breakdown of it though.....

statement 1, define the first statement as true.
statement 2, define the first statement as false.
... statement 2 results in an error, as statement 1 is TRUE,
.........therefor, statement 2 is FALSE.

or lets put it this way.... lets go programming style :)

Code: Select all

Dim Statement1 as TRUE
Dim Statement1 as FALSE
this would result in an error stating you cannot Dim an already dimmed variable without 'redim'img it. Thus making the second line false. (statement 2)

Well it is me here. I though about that statement of a little bit. And like you look at it as a computer lines of code and reliezed that there was noughting about the statement so it is niether one since there is nouthing the statement is about about.
