Need to retrieve convo from history for legal matter!

Post by xOInThoseJeansOx »

Hey. I've been having a problem with a girl online. She's been IMing me threating me and now she's been driving by my house. I take these threats very seriously because she's bad news and has been arrested many times before. I need to get into my history and someone open the file so I can print a copy of the conversation and bring it to the police so I can get an order of protection against her. Any and all help will be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.

P.S. I can be reached on AIM at xOInThoseJeansOx.

Have you tried to give her a piece of butterscotch candy at church?

It worked in a TV show...

But serious - If it's not there it is highly doubtful that it is anywhere.

I guess you can check the recycle bin though.

I doubt a stored AIM conversation would be enough evidence or even admissable as evidence for a restraining order. They're not the hardest things to fake.

No, they aren't that hard to fake, but conversations online can be used in legal matters unlike digital photos. They are considered digital signatures and thus can be used. I'd have to pull out my legal studies text to double check some things, but I'm too lazy and will be packing stuff soon anyways to either move back to my parents house or Toledo. I'd double check with the local authorities first. If the police say it is usable... good luck trying to find it.
