downgrading

hi im new here and i really dont know what the hell im doing. im trying to downgrade from aol 5.5 to something that will let me view my history. i dont know what i my younger brother has done but last i knew he upgraded and turned our history viewer off, least that is what he says. i am so lost and confused, can someone please help me????
