The look for renames feature is a good idea in concept, but it misses the mark in the real world. But the actual feature is poor, at least on v2.0.1b84 (10.30.2002)

Situation: W2K SVR SP4 (1024/260)
7 files, each approx 100 MB in a folder. Upon rename of one of the files, HK generates sums (or appears to have been rechecking) files that it has already checked.

------

There have been numerous times where HK stopped checking and left ????????????'s rather than the sum of the file or did not list all files in the SFV.

-------

You cannot tell by looking at the window, if a checksum is being created or verified.

--------

You cannot edit the comments section within HKSFV.

--------

It is not possible to tell what SFV or MD5 file a file belongs to via the interface.

---------

It is not possible to specify a root path for a MD5 or SFV

---------

It is not possible to export files in the format that is compatible to that horrible microsoft tool fciv

that's all I can think of off the top of my head....

Don't get me wrong, HK is my fav so far...but it does need work.....

BTW, I fell asleep while it was checking a CD that had a file renamed...it was still checking and stuck in a loop when I woke up several hours later...
