sfv filename during creation

Post by bluedragon »

one thing i use quicksfv for instead of hksfv32 is when you create an sfv
file, it makes it with the same filename as the files going inside of it
filename.rar, .r00, .r01 then the sfv is filename.sfv, instead of the directory
name.
using the directory name is good for creating sfvs for mp3 albums and
such that have many different names in the same directory

think this could be an option for the next one, maybe even expand
the context menu to say 'create filename.sfv' and 'create dirname.sfv'

and hksfv32 is definately quicker than quicksfv, i love the program for
everything else except that one spot =]

i agree to bluedragon's request as well. i would be pleased if this feature is implemented in the next version.
then i would call it my favourite sfv-checker!

Allow the user to choose a different filename for the sfv file when you right click and choose Create SFV.

Often I want to create SFVs for single files. If more than one of them is in the same directory this is a problem because I will need to rename the SFV files in between creating them.

In the upcoming version, there is a switch which will cause hkSFV to prompt you for the filename whenever you create an SFV, instead of choosing one for you (although it will also suggest one, and more intelligently than before). Or, you can still have it choose the filename automatically, like the current version.
