What is it?

I have no clue what is hkSFV32 is and what's the use for it? Please help me with it and tell me what it is used for? Thank you.

hkSFV32 is a program that creates and verifies .SFV files. .SFV files are used to verify file integrity. They basically record CRC information about one or many files. Then, after transferring them to another location, whether it's over a local network, the internet, or swapping hard drives, you can use the .SFV along with hkSFV32 to verify that your files have not been altered.

Personally, I use .SFV files mostly to make sure that my downloads are 100% complete. If any little bit of the download has been corrupted, missing, or altered, it will fail, and I know that I need to redownload the files or find another copy to download.
