Auto-Resizing Buddy List?

I don't know if this is at all possible, but would there be a way so that the buddy list would automatically resize itself everytime people log on/off as to not have a buddy list that's half the height of the screen when only a few people are signed on.

It's not that big of an inconvenience to resize the window, I'm just wondering if something like this would be possible.
