SUPPORT for Linux

Post by Guest »

:o While I thoroughly enjoy and appreciate all the AIM+ as used in Windows, it would be nice to have it available for Linux or another operating system other than those produced by Macintosh and Microsoft. I am certain there are many others out there in cyberspace who feel the same way. Since AIM+ is free software, it makes sense to have it available for operating systems which support the spirit of Freeware and Shareware, rather than those who seek more...er...material gains. I'm not saying make it open source, i'm just saying it would theoretically be simple to port AIM+ to Linux, BeOS, etc.

i just like to push it because im on the dev team (working on oscar support) but if you are intersted in fiddiling with things check out TiK. its written in Tcl/Tk and can be run on linux (w/ X) and windows (and i suppose any other os if it has a tcl interpreter).
