AOL has released AIM 4.8 final (actual version number is 4.8.2790). You can get it at http://www.aol.com/aim

Unless they changed it after 1 day, the number is 4.8.2790.0.
I don't think it's 4.8.2790.1.

after i install the latest aim, do i have to reinstall aim+ again? cause when I don't and run aim plus, it still shows that it's running 2646.

No, you shouldn't have to reinstall AIM+ after updating your AOL Instant Messenger. AIM+ automatically loads AIM when you start it. You do have to completely shut down AIM and AIM+ to upgrade either AIM or AIM+.

What directory did you install your new AOL Instant Messenger in? You may accidentally have two copies installed, and AIM+ could be pointing to the old one. If this is the case, you could uninstall the older copy, and then go to AIM+ preferences and in the "AIM:" box point to your new copy of AIM.

thanks, the new aim was installed in a different default folder. works fine now
