D'oh! I could probably work around it, though -- but I certainly wasn't aware of this goofy limitation.. Thanks!

Your logs should look like your AIM windows.. (if they have a background color normally, it should be in the logs), so if their text is readable normally it should be readable in the logs. There's a couple of reasons why this might not happen, though. One is the history bug that is now fixed, the ot...

Losing transparency when the window has focus is already implemented in the next version (it is optional, of course). Losing transparency on mouseover seems like a very x-windows (or x-mouse) type thing (like you see often on *nix systems). Actually, if you use TweakUI to set X-Mouse on, it'd work t...

Well, your first idea (one) is simple enough to handle, if you turn off "display status dialog" as well as "display start dialog" in AIM you won't see any boxes about connecting at all when you do a direct connect. As for consuming more bandwidth (two) - I'll have to check, I hav...

Right now, AIM+ can't really determine which users are on your Buddy List or not. AIM, however, can. In AIM's preferences, there are options to automate the direct connection process to all users, or just users on your buddy list. So, I'm thinking AIM+ would basically just be initiating the direct c...

Always/Automatically DirectConnect

How about this as an option? I know that I really enjoy that 'typing...' feature of direct connect, and the lack of limits on text size, and of course the images. I'd like to be directly connected whenever I open a chat with somebody. I would make AIM+ automatically handle the options (bypass dialog...

Check for new version?

The next version of AIM+ includes a very cool system to check for updates automatically. It simply loads a webpage from big-o-software.com that has the latest version #, and then the program lets you know if it is newer than your own. The dialog is very slick (IMHO :D ), it tells you everything you'...

When's the next version coming out? [Re: hkSFV 2.0]

I thought it fair to let anybody who's taking the time to read this know what's going on with hkSFV.. I started the first version in March of 2001, and the first public version was in August. My original vision for hkSFV32 was pretty limited, and it has already outgrown it's original structure. A co...

Well, crap. The cat's out of the bag now; I suppose I might as well just add the feature.

(Since I know that for every one person that speaks up about a problem, there's 10 more with the same issue, that simply haven't said anything yet..) We've made it even easier, I hope - there are now links right in the middle of the frontpage to download each of the apps. I'd hate to think anybody g...

Dan's right, of course, everything should be optional, to whatever degree is reasonably possible. But I think the winamp feature would be fun. I think it'd be amusing to let anybody know what I'm listening to, and to see what they're playing. I think it'd be cool.. well, that's all I'll say about it...

Actually, being idle when you're at your computer would be pretty handy. Mookie, you may think you're fooling me when you put your away message on for a while, but if I see you're not idle, and I know your AIM computer usually reports when you're idle, I know you're sitting right there :) (or, I sup...

Autoscroll comments during mass verification

When creating/checking multiple sfv's, it'd be nice if it was an option to have the comment pane scroll down to the comments of the SFV that hkSFV is actually working with..

You're not the first person to request a monitoring or scheduling option.. but I'm still a little unsure as to how this would be used? Is it for a download directory, to check things as you get them, or for an ftp server's upload directory, to check things as they're uploaded.. because they're sligh...
