When a window's text gets to be too big, AIM+ does not handle it correctly. It will usually simply stop recording, sometimes it will behave even stupider, but the net result is that very long conversations (without closing the IM window), can get lost or messed up. This is a big problem - it's my to...

The transparency features require Windows 2000 or Windows XP (or later versions of windows ;) ). If your are running an older OS, the sliders will be disabled, and (as you mentioned) will not move.

This is not how AIM+ removes the ads from AIM. AIM+ does not modify any files.

I do not know how to remove the ads manually, nor do I recommend or support doing this.

AIM cannot shutdown with windows (Win2K/AIM+ 1.0 b41)

In Windows 2000, shutting down the computer while AIM+ is running seems to always generate the "AIM cannot be shutdown" message, and you must close AIM or click "End Now" to shutdown your computer..

You can access the features of AIM+ in two ways. The first is the the way mentioned in the above post - AIM+ adds menu items to the menu of every IM window. The second way is through thesystem/window menu of the AIM Buddy List. This is the small icon to the left of the title bar. When you start AIM+...

Let me know if it doesn't work for you :)

Hmm, This is interesting, I've never seen anything like this.. I too use Windows XP, latest AIM beta, and AIM+ (all the time), and I've never noticed AIM taking up an abnormal amount of memory (usually around 5mb), and AIM+ usually stays around 2mb, even after weeks of running it.. Is anybody else e...

Scott, If you're using WindowsXP, after it has grouped your IM windows on the taskbar, you can right click on the taskbar button (that says "(x) AOL Instant Messenger"), and click "Tile Horizontally" or "Tile Vertically" - I think that'll accomplish what you're looking ...

(Sorry for letting this topic go so long without a reply) FYI - This 'runtime error' is pretty much a generic crashing bug - it doesn't really tell me what is failing at all, and it could be coming from different bugs, but I do appreciate everyone letting me know that you're experiencing it - now I ...

Big-O Software

AIM+ loads two web pages (from www.big-o-software.com, webserver name is JIMBO, name resolves to IP 63.242.134.29) when it starts up (actually, the first time the 'sign on' window appears). The first web page simply returns the current version of AIM+, so the software can check to see if there is a ...

Well, you're right about this - I've gone ahead and fixed this in the next version. But, has this actually caused any problems for you? Or, if anybody is having problems with AIM+ running at startup, does adding quotes (while AIM+ is not running) around the "C:...AIM+.exe" part, then resta...
