I picked AIM+ with AIM 4.8.2790..the latest of the 4.x series.

Why? Because it works perfect for me, I dont use the Logging feature, so I have absolutely no reasons to complain about not having v3.

Furthermore.. AIMv5 is too colorful and ugly/bubbly..hence the reason for staying with 4.8

it does, but since i like/use the new IM forwarding in 5.2... i use DeadAIM to log and get rid of the List buttons and such on the buddy list, which doesnt make it look 'bubbly' at all.

well if you get 5.x and you learn about expressions you can make it less colorful

but to do that you need another plugin thats not aim+

since thats all i have been posting about im sure i'll get yelled at left and right

but i am currently working with DeadAIM its a fairly decent replacement although all it does is mimic aim+ in every way possible

I don't like the way DeadAIM integrates with AIM. AIM+ is so much better.

i picked aim+ with aim 4.x because the only thing DeadAIM offers is the little pop-ups, which isnt worth downloading for me =0

DeadAIM also offers the total screwing up of your AIM.

LOL maybe if you suck at using programs (i donno how you pull that off, just double click but ok)

but it has never caused me any problems, i have seen a few bugs but nothing that couldnt be fixes with 5 minutes of recoding

i installed it, didnt like it, tried to uninstall it, and it totally screwed up my AIM to the point of where i had to reinstall it alltogether. are you sayin i suck at using programs?

I think Plasma knows what he's doing. It's more likely that DeadAIM's programming sux0rz because it doesn't work well on all platforms.

i never had any problems what so ever, even when i uninstalled for the user not wanting it anymore,. DeadAIM has not given me any problems with anything, i like it, i used to like aim+ but i like aim5.2 so i use deadaim.

whats the difference? they both run with aim... i dont understand how one can inegrate better than the other.

I'm still using AIM+! Although I'm using the latest version of AIM rather than sticking with 4.8. I held out for a long time before upgrading, mostly because the only big new feature was AIM expressions. Now that they've finally added some useful features (IM cell phones, IM forwarding) it's worth upgrading!

i tried DeadAIM, it sucked, i uninstalled it, now i get error messages when i close AIM. DeadAIM is dumb, just wait for MyIM, it'll be better.
