I'm holding back until it is out there in mass.

I *pretty much* hear that you either love it or hate it. I don't want to install it and hate it.

I installed it and nothing has really changed. I guess IE changed, some people say, but I don't use that shit program anyway.

Max number of connectins are limited...this makes heavy-duty file sharing horrible. I use Shareaza and it was HORRIBLE until I found the tcpip.sys fix on the forums, though I was recommended NOT to do that by a friend, but it seems good to me so far and I have the backup just incase.

If anybody wants the fix here ya go-
http://forums.shareaza.com/showthread.p ... post152115

And here's what my friend suggested-
nmX.Memnoch wrote:I found some more information you may want to read. I knew this was going to be an issue but I didn't think it would be as much of one:

http://www.theinquirer.net/?article=17774

Read the part of the article after the DivX 5.2 stuff (which BTW seems to have installed fine on my work machine).

A fix can be found here:

http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?kbid=314053

Basically you want to open the registry editor, go to:

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Services\Tcpip\Parameters

There will be several keys under that one. The one you want is the one for your network/internet connection. You'll be able to tell which one it is by looking at the value for IPAddress. All of them will have 0.0.0.0 except for the one you're actively using.

Once you find the key, you want to make a new DWORD value called TcpNumConnections. The default value in Windows XP SP2 is 10 connections (0x0000000a hex). I believe the default before SP2 was 50 connections (0x00000032 hex). That's where I'm going to start.

Note that this setting may take a reboot to take effect.

Disclaimer: If you hose your registry futzing with it I'm not responsible.
