Hey everybody, I am new around here and I have some questions. I found this link http://www.geocities.com/s4056041973/ai ... ploit.html and it didnt work for me. I was wondering if anybody else tried this and it worked?
My thoughts are that might have worked in the past, but AOL probably found out regulars were gaining access to Admin priveleges, and most likely changed their admin server address / port numbers for access.
From those screen shots it look like it could really work, although that connection info does not. I tried it and registered a new name with the prefix it suggested.
It could have worked in the past but it certainly doesn't now. Not to mention that AOL Admins have their own version of AIM client now anyway. I've had a copy of it before but I'm sure they've changed the connection info so even with that I doubt it would work.
Actually I just downloaded it straight off of the AOL FTP. They aren't very good about securing the right folders so it seems... I also downloaded an uncomplete alpha of a new version (which is now 5.x).
Maybe they don't care. If you can't use the program then the program is useless. Also maybe they meant for teh alpha to be seen... Then again it is AOL.

Stupid AOL.
If you just use Google or any other Website you can search and find/download it. I have the AIM Admin Client as well. It's no big deal though.. it's not as powerful as that Website makes it seem. All it gives you is logging and a few little crap features.
The admin client is not what was shown on that website that was regular AIM. On the admin client when you login you have to enter username, password, and an authentication code.
