Re: Help?
Um...yeah, that sounds like you installed DeadAIM, not AIM+. Uninstall DeadAIM to make the window go away.cirque du darkness wrote:When I login to AIM+ on my computer, everything works fine, except that a window pops up that I cant get rid of.It says I need to enter and email adress and and a code of some sort that was in an email, but I never got an email. What do I do to get this window to dissapear??

... Maybe install DeadAIM and then uninstall it?
Do you have a file called DeadAIM.ocm in your AIM directory (If that's not there then I have no clue what is going on...).
Are you the only one that uses the computer? Maybe someone tried to get rid of DeadAIM after installing it and didn't do a very good job.

You can log into your account there and redownload DeadAIM if you have purchased it.
If you haven't purchased it, that's also where you can do that.

I don't know how you got DeadAIM on your computer... But it is on your computer.
I also don't know how DeadAIM goes about the release of their .exe, but if you can get ahold of one (best chance would be their site ( www.jdennis.net ) then you can (re)install it and then uninstall it.
That *should* get rid of DeadAIM.
Like I said before perhaps it was a parent or brother or sister or friend that downloaded it with out you knowing.
If all else fails... Save your buddy list... Uninstall AIM... Delete anything left over in the AIM directory... Reinstall AIM (4.8 would be your best bet if you want AIM+) and then you should be fine...
This would atlease make DeadAIM no longer part of AIM (Although there would still be files (harmless at that point (and tiny in file size))).
Hope that helps .
