So I haven't posted in a couple of days cuz I've been really sick...flu, 104 degree fever and such. I come back here and read the new posts, and I'll post my general thoughts and questions here...

MikeZed, do people that know you in real life find you as annoying as people on the internet do?

Poor Axilla... My brother got the same thing... Any my brother isn't one to be kept down, but damn... He couldn't even move around...

Nothing has ever kept me from seeing a concert before, I had mono and still went to a show that I had tickets to...this bastard bug made me sell my ticket to Dave Matthews and Friends (friends including Trey Anastasio lead singer of Phish!!). Next year I'm getting that flu shot. No, I'm gonna join the team of scientists and work on the flu shot.

I don't get it...all these years of medicine, a pill to make your dick hard, a pill that makes women not get pregnant AND their breasts get bigger (birth control pill, needed to be stated cuz otherwise MikeZed wouldn't know what I was talking about), but no cure for the flu...fucking doctors.

Did your school even offer any type of shot to you guys? Ours had the mist. It was free for the students and like $7 for faculty/staff.

i missed school once in 6th grade when i had the flu but that was it

Tell me about it. When I went to get it I still thought it was the shot. Then when I told my dad what it was, cuz he and my mom kept telling me to get the shot, he was like... that's like $60 or something.

You do of course realize there is not one flu virus, just like there is not one cold virus, thus it would be impossible to cure the flu since there are many different variations. That's the reason they provide shots each year, since they can usually predict which strain will hit the US based on which strains appear in the East. And doctors aren't the people you should be pissed at, if you washed your hands before every meal and took care not to touch parts of your face where there are mucus membranes the chances of contracting the flu fall greatly.
